Isabella was born from the dream of two skippers to experience the sea and share this passion with their friends. To realize it, they choose the project by the histrionic Carlo Sciarrelli, commissioning its structural construction from the Zennaro shipyard in Venice. Once the structure was completed, it was launched on 23/12/1985 and thus began her journey, first reaching Trieste and the prestigious Cantieri Craglietto where was completed and planted with trees (as per the tradition of the Serenissima Republic) two masts and respective booms in red spruce from Cadore ( like Stradivari’s violins ..).
After the security checks and normal celebrations, Isabella starts sailing (with her first name “Euro Vela”) crossing the Mediterranean sea, passing through the Columns of Hercules and reaching Senegal coasts, going up the homonymous river, she knows the ancient African traditions waiting for the right moment for the “big jump”.
Thanks to the trade winds and their thrust (the tireless engine of all the sailing ships that have sailed from the coast of Central America since Christopher Columbus), she reaches the Caribbean coast giving its crew the magic moment of saying “land”. One by one she went up the islands of the Caribbean Sea which crown the Gulf of Mexico. After the comfortable cruise between the islands it is time to put the bow towards the East and this is the moment that coincides with the back in the Mediterranean, not before crossing the stormy waters of the North Atlantic, it is here that during a heavy blow of sea for 2 days the crew appreciates the skill which Isabella was designed and built for. Since then, she continues to sail in the Mediterranean with the affection and care that a lady must reserve.
Today we are the Isabella owner and we try to cultivate and maintain this dream, giving her time and attention but always being rewarded by the unquestionable charm that we feel every timethat she hoist the sails releases her strength without ever being vulgar.
